3. Represents the Staffing OL with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.

4. Participates in special projects and initiatives of vast scope and performs special assignments critical to operations.

Duties for Deputy, AFMC Classification & Staffing Operations

1. Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the AFMC Classification and Staffing Operations Branch. Develops Command-wide procedures for review of program quality, progress, and effectiveness.

2. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.

3. Represents AFMC Classification and Staffing Operations Branch with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.

4. Participates in special projects and initiatives and performs special assignments.

Qualifications

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-03, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-13 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience with laws, rules, regulations, executive orders, policies, and concepts governing various federal disciplines associated with personnel management programs concerning position management, classification, recruitment and retention, compensation, employee relations, awards and providing effective solutions to support organizational goals and objectives. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

For Staffing OL Chief
1. Mastery knowledge and skill in applying a wide range of laws, rules, regulations, executive orders, policies, and concepts governing various federal civilian personnel disciplines and, in particular, those pertaining to staffing and placement.

2. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.

3. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors.

4. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.

5. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.

For Deputy, AFMC Classification & Staffing Operations
1. Knowledge of policies, principles, concepts, guidance, procedures, techniques, and methodologies pertaining to AFMC Classification and Staffing operations.

2. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.

3. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors.

4. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.

5. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.

6. Knowledge of USAF and AFMC organizations, programs, missions and functions to analyze and determine plans, programs, and initiatives for AFMC Classification and Staffing operations.

7. Knowledge of the laws, rules, regulations, executive orders, policies, and concepts governing various federal civilian personnel disciplines and, in particular, those pertaining to staffing, placement, and position classification.


PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

AcqDemo Expanded Probationary Period for Supervisors and Managers: An additional supervisory probationary period of one year may be required when an employee is officially assigned to a different supervisory position.

This is an acquisition demonstration project position NH-04 equivalent to a GS-14 to GS-15.
