Duties

Help

Serves as the Administrative Officer in the DFW CMO. Performs multiply and varying assignments under the limited direction of the manager. Acts as an individual contributor and/or may serve as a team leader on various projects.

Applies experience and advanced knowledge and understanding of management principles. practices, methods, and techniques, and skill in integrating management services with the general management of the organization. Provides and/or obtains a variety of management services essential to the direction and operation of the organization. Demonstrates considerable independence in planning time and assists others to plan and use assigned resources to complete tasks.

Provides, secures, or negotiates for the resources or services needed to manage the office of the assigned organization. The work involves direct assistance to the supervisor who has the primary responsibility for the direction of the organization established to accomplish the mission.

Tracks and analyzes data to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Responsible for coordinating and performing multiple and varying assignments under the general direction of the manager.

May work as a team member on various projects. Responsible for planning time and assisting others to plan and use assigned resources to complete tasks. Responsible for coordinating and accomplishing all administrative tasks in a wide range of administrative and analytical duties. Evaluates and monitors office expenditures and makes sound changes based on trends and analysis, merit and deficiency situations, and known or anticipated program changes.

Performs immediate and long-range planning and control for organizational services independently anticipating program changes, etc.

Coordinates with Human Resources for advice on advisory services as they relate to organizational related functions including pay and leave, and benefits. Reviews travel associated matters and manages the training program including initial and recurring.

Responsible for managing the office logistics program including personal property, supplies and services, and acquisition activities, awards, OSHA. security, and vehicle management.

Procures office supplies and equipment and closely monitors expenditures and reviews purchase card statements for accuracy.

Recommends improvements to systems and processes. Identifies, analyzes and recommends solutions to recurring problems and offers recommendations for improvements.

Interprets guidelines and provides management with advice and counsel on the operation of assigned programs and interrelationships of such programs.

Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

FV-H: To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to FV-G (FG/GS 10/11).

Specialized experience is defined as: experience applying management principles, practices, methods, and techniques to solve the problems of the organization; experience integrating management services with the general management of an organization; experience developing and securing the fiscal and business resources and services needed to manage and run an organization; and experience performing systematic general management reviews and audits to reach conclusions and make recommendations.

Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level.
