Duties

Help
  • You will develop and execute the total manpower management program; to advise on manpower matters to all echelons of leadership and management.
  • You will exercise staff cognizance and close coordination over the Manpower departments of seven installations throughout the Marine Corps Installations Region.
  • You will ensure continuous provision of service support that embraces training, specifically directed training, infrastructure, supply, logistical and quality of life support to assigned Marines, Sailors, dependents and residents
  • You will ensure continuous provision of service to support at all of the seven bases and air stations located within the regional boundaries of MCIEAST.
  • You will provide, as applicable, selected administrative support to Operating Forces and Headquarters Marine Corps units, and other units assigned, who are located aboard Installations within MCIEAST’s Region.
  • You will direct and primary staff cognizance over the Regional Manpower Plans and Policy Division, Regional Manpower Operations and Military Personnel Division, Regional Adjutant Division,
  • You will participate in overall command management, which is not limited to manpower, but extends, to an unusual degree, into disparate but related staff commodities/functions such as Business Performance; Comptroller or Financial management;
  • You will participate in overall command management, such as Marine Corps Community Service, Operations and Policy, Aviation, Plans, Training, Supply/ Logistics, Facilities, Reserve Affairs and Education.
  • You will direct and primary staff cognizance over the Regional Career Planning Division, Regional Civilian Human Resources Offices and the Personnel Security Management Division.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
  • The incumbent observes normal safety precaut9ons when working in and traveling away from the work site.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-14) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate overseeing and executing a manpower management program to include strategic manpower planning and manpower campaign planning as well as directing, coordinating and evaluating manpower management AND exercising staff cognizance over manpower departments of multiple installations or business locations in a region.
