About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the FAMCAMP Operations at Wright-Patt AFB. Conducts day to day operations and maintenance of the Fam Camp recreational facilities and equipment.

Frequently lifts or moves objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Continuous standing, walking, frequent stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling and bending.

Duties

Help

Conducts day to day operations and maintenance of the Fam Camp recreational facilities and equipment. Greets guests after normal Outdoor Recreation hours. Utilizes Rec Trac or other computer software for point of sales system and Fam Camp site payments. Maintains and administers accurate waiting lists. Completes sales documentation and performs the full range of cash management and accountability duties which may include collecting dishonored checks, analyzing and correcting errors. Accepts payment for a variety of equipment items and facilities. Processes cash, check and credit card payments. Fills out daily financial reports. Inspects facilities, grounds and equipment in order to assess the need for maintenance or repair. Maintains cleanliness and appearance of facilities as directed by supervisor to include emptying trash containers, emptying pet waste disposal system, cleaning restrooms, showers, and laundry room facilities as needed. Keeps sites trimed, mowed and ensures power and water are in working order. Answers telephone calls and receives visitors supplying requested information from own knowledge or refers caller to appropriate source. Informs customers of FamCamp policies, rules, and procedures and enforces the rules accordingly. Assists with setup, facilitation, and clean up of special Fam Camp events. Provides quality customer service. May train lower graded personnel or volunteers on operation of Fam Camp and Fam Camp maintenance equipment. Operates assigned vehicles as required or directed. Assists in other areas of the Outdoor Recreation operation as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have responsible experience which provided a working knowledge of recreational camping facilities, maintenance equipment, rules and campground procedures. Previous cash handling experience is preferred. Must be able to operate a personal computer. Must successfully complete a physical examination, as well as any required occupational health or other examinations. Must possess a current CPR and First Aid certification or become certified within 30 days of employment. Must have a valid drivers license. This is a drug testing position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. Must have ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and present a professional image. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Must successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
