Duties

Help

As a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER, you will:

  • Work with customers to develop systems administration requirements and advise customers on technical tools and opportunities to aid in reengineering work processes prior to automation.
  • Analyze adequacy of customer requirements, identify technical system requirements, and determine if system requirements are testable.
  • Provide mastery of, and skill in applying capacity management principles, concepts, and tools, sufficient to recommend hardware software replacements or upgrades to meet current and future requirements.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with high-level management personnel in the Treasury Department, Treasury Bureaus, and other federal agencies in order to coordinate the implementation of HSPD-12 across Treasury.
  • Directly supervise the HSPD-12 Project Management Program

Key Requirements:

  • Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
  • All newly appointed employees to the competitive (or excepted) service are subject to a probationary (or trial) period.   • A one-year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required.
  • Must successfully complete a background investigation.
  • All new hires will be required to comply with federal ethics laws. A review of financial or other interests may be conducted to determine if they create any real or apparent conflict of interests with official Treasury duties.
  • Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
  • Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
  • If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.
  • Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9. Federal law requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires in the U.S.
  • File a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report within 30 days of appointment and annually from then on.
  • Undergo an income tax verification, if required.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:For the GS-15 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:

- Experience monitoring program compliance to requirements, regulations, or established performance levels; AND

- Experience with program analysis, including the ability to guide and structure the work of staff and understanding large quantities of information and the production of a wide variety of written materials; AND

- Experience in Identity, Credential and Access Management (ICAM), gained either in the public or private sector; AND

- Experience participating as a team leader of complex, and interdisciplinary project teams.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resumé.

TIME-IN-GRADE: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.

TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
