Duties

Help
  • You will serve as the Sensors, Weapons, and Launcher Department’s Fire Control System (FCS) Team Lead in the Surface Combatant Radar Division (E40).
  • You will provide leadership for team members in the oversight of the MK 99 Fire Control System which includes the Kill Assessment System (KAS).
  • You will serve as the Lead Subject Matter Expert and will plan, direct, implement, and execute Mk 99 FCS tasking to all other FCS personnel.
  • You will provide inputs to budget reviews, task planning sheet (TPS) generation, Statement of Work reviews, and contract management.
  • You will develop test procedures and plans to investigate problem reports.
  • You will provide technical training to team members and ship personnel.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical and administrative oversight to manage in-service engineering projects for surface ship combat and weapon systems (e.g. Fire Control System).
