This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing.
Must obtain and maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) training and certification from the American Heart Association or Military Training Network.
Position requires a successful completion of pre-placement and annual medical examinations.
This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Using an Electronic Health Record to check-in patients; 2) Collecting and recording patient vital signs; and 3) performing non-professional direct patient care in a hospital or health clinic setting. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).

Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major study or at least 24 semester hours in subjects directly related to the position, such as, Nursing.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
