Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Administer guidance on fire protection and system safety engineering standards and regulations to ensure fire safety codes are followed;
2) Test newly installed fire protection systems and equipment to verify compliance with building codes and regulations;
3) Perform a fire protection inspection of abuilding or storage facility to identify actual or potential fire hazards or fire safety deficiencies; and
4) Perform specialized fire inspections of controversial areas (e.g. Industrial facilities, aircraft hangars, fuel storage facilities).
***This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications for the GS-08: Firefighter Instructor 1, Fire Inspector ll. You are required to work a 56 hour work week (consisting of four (4) eight (8) hour days and one (1) 24 hour-shift. Subject to overtime and recall.
