You will manage technical aspects of repair availabilities to verify contractor performance, and serve as the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
You will conducts material condition surveys and inspections of ship's hull, machinery and electrical systems and components.
You will plan, develop and work estimate work packages, providing formal and comprehensive contract specifications.
You will review and evaluate ship voyage repair requests and regulatory body deficiencies, and coordinate resolution with the ship's applicable administrative command.
You will plan and schedule work based on ship voyage repair requirements and operating schedule.
You will identify and establish contracts with local commercial ship repair contractors and vendors to stay abreast of current technology and service capabilities.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in budgeting and accounting procedures and policies for ship operations and sponsor reimbursable items; knowledge of qualitative and quantitive techniques in analyzing, measuring and productivity of management processes and programs related to ships and projects; experience in conducting detailed evaluations, analyzing findings and recommendations on complex functions and processess; and experience in reviewing and implementing policies and procedures to improve ship readiness and operational.
