Extensive experience with network operating systems and platforms, such as Cisco IOS, Juniper Junos, and specialized embedded operating systems used in satellite and ground-based systems.
2. Deep understanding of specialized communication protocols and technologies used in space-based systems, such as satellite communication protocols (e.g., Digital Video Broadcasting - Satellite Second Generation (DVB-S2)), Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems (CCSDS), and secure data transmission techniques. Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, including encryption, authentication, access control, and intrusion detection/ prevention systems.
3. Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain highly secure and resilient network architectures in challenging environments, including space and remote locations. Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex network issues in real-time, using specialized diagnostic tools and techniques.
4. Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and work independently in a dynamic and challenging environment. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of subordinate organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
5. Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
