Duties

Help

  • Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time.
  • Plans, organizes and directs the activities of the Equipment Accountability Element, Customer Support Liaison Element, within the Logistics Readiness Squadron, ensuring Customer Support complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
  • Represents the Customer Support and Equipment accountability elements with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
  • Directs and conducts extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns.

  • Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 14 days per year.
  • "This is a Supervisory Position." A 1-year supervisory probationary period is required if applicant selected has not previously met this requirement.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the general experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, Supervisory General Supply Specialist, Series 2001.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have at least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower broadband NH-01 equivalent to lower grade (GS-04), within the Federal Civil Service. Specialized experience is described as knowledge of supply regulations, policies procedures, techniques and methods to include requisitioning, requirements, equipment management, inspection activities, demand processing, records maintenance, and customer service. Knowledge of logistical functions, operations, systems, program requirements and work methods. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management and, EO regulations, practices and procedures.

Successfully completed 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
A combination of education and experience as described above may be used to qualify for this position. Note: You must submit a copy of your transcripts with your application.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

1. Knowledge of supply regulations, policies procedures, techniques and methods to include requisitioning, requirements. equipment management, inspection activities, demand processing, records maintenance. and customer service.
2. Knowledge of logistical functions, operations, systems, program requirements and work methods.
3. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
4. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
5. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management and, EO regulations, practices and procedures.
6. Ability to read. interpret, and apply applicable reference material such as regulations, manuals, catalogs. records, orders, etc., to accomplish tasks and resolve problems.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

AcqDemo Expanded Probationary Period for Supervisors and Managers: An additional supervisory probationary period of one year may be required when an employee is officially assigned to a different supervisory position.

This is an acquisition demonstration project position NH-2 equivalent to a GS-5 to GS-11.
