The United States Space Force (USSF) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is searching for a Satellite Communications Senior Engineer for NSIC (GG-0861-13)

Description:
The 1st Intelligence Analysis Squadron is seeking a Senior Engineer, the team's senior technical expert on adversary next-generation communications satellites in the INDOPACOM AOR. The primary focus of this role is applying your deep engineering expertise to perform complex, problem-centric analysis of foreign satellite communications systems and technologies in all orbital regimes. As a senior expert, you will help uphold the team's analytic excellence. Your duties will include delivering impactful briefings, representing the flight in military exercises and working groups, mentoring junior analysts with advanced tools, and providing rigorous technical and analytic tradecraft review of products as needed.
A key supporting responsibility is to drive Beam and Transponder Assessment Report (BaTAR) production and software innovation. This involves improving the flight's BaTAR-related production by standardizing publications, tracking and prioritizing production, and liaising with development teams to implement software improvements.

You are a recognized expert who finds fulfillment in direct customer engagement and in collaborating with other offices to create new assessments. You have a proven ability to apply engineering principles to all-source intelligence analysis and are skilled in overseeing the improvement of analytical tools. As a senior expert, you excel at synthesizing complex, all-source data to produce predictive intelligence assessments and can confidently deliver these findings in key customer briefings.

  • Must be a U.S Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret /SCI security clearance.
  • Safeguards classified or sensitive budget-related information and/or files.
  • May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
  • Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework”.
  • This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first.
  • Employee may be required to perform travel by military or commercial passenger aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments.
  • PCS / relocation funding is not authorized.
  • Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): 15 days a year.
  • This is a drug testing position.
