Summary

The Senior Entity Triage Specialist (ETS) is a subject matter expert leading the independent production and quality assurance of Risk Indicator Reports (RIRs). This role requires deep analysis of corporate structures to identify beneficial ownership and Foreign Ownership, Control, or Influence (FOCI) risks. The Senior ETS communicates critical security findings and mitigation strategies to senior leadership to protect sensitive USG information and technology.

As a INDUSTRIAL SECURITY SPECIALIST (SENIOR ENTITY TRIAGE SPECIALIST) you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Independently manages a large portfolio of the most complex cases, preparing routine and non-routine, in-depth Risk Indicator Reports (RIRs) that clearly articulate significant and nuanced national security risk indicators.
  • Serves as a senior technical authority, providing expert direction, feedback, coaching, and mentorship to government and contractor staff on highly complex business and security analysis, investigative techniques, and mitigation strategies.
  • Drives process innovation by identifying significant areas for improvement, developing and determining courses of action for leadership, and leading the implementation of solutions that enhance workflow, training, and internal guidance.
  • Conducts high-level studies, inquiries, and critical reviews of performance metrics and data analysis for senior leadership, ensuring the accuracy of reporting and informing strategic updates to policies and procedures.
  • Independently prepares and delivers detailed briefings and formal training to internal and external senior-level customers, stakeholders, and intelligence community partners on all matters related to the verification and triage mission.
  • Acts with full autonomy to coordinate complex verification processes, sensitive information requests, and reciprocity actions with other cognizant security agencies and responds independently to high-stakes information requests from government customers.
  • Serves as the acting Entity Triage Team Lead or Unit Chief on a rotational basis, assuming leadership responsibilities in their absence and managing competing priorities to ensure mission requirements are met.

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.

You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade (GS/GG-12) in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience.

Specialized experience for this position includes:

  • Applying advanced principles from multiple security disciplines (personnel, industrial, physical, information security) to independently analyze and resolve complex security issues.
  • Analyzing and integrating complex intelligence and counterintelligence information to produce detailed analytical products that assess multifaceted threats to U.S. interests.
  • Utilizing agency processes, systems,and tools to conduct due diligence and develop mitigation strategies for complex cases involving companies contracted to support the U.S. Government.
  • Deconstructing complex, multi-layered corporate structures to identify and assess critical vulnerabilities related to foreign ownership, control, or influence (FOCI), key management personnel, and financial stability.
  • Managing a caseload of moderately complex to complex assignments, conducting in-depth research and analysis to produce high-quality Risk Indicator Reports (RIRs) for agency and U.S. Government customers.
  • Briefing senior leaders and external partners, clearly articulating complex business and security vulnerabilities and providing well-reasoned analytical judgments.
  • Communicating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders regarding mission requirements, performance metrics, and the status of high-priority cases.
  • Developing and presenting detailed findings on security vulnerabilities to inform critical decisions regarding entity access to classified or sensitive U.S. Government information and technology.


Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies:
