Duties

Help
  • Serve as a Financial Management Analyst, Accounting Operations and Travel Branch
  • Coordinate resource management for all operations within the DHA enterprise for the General Funds Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) information system and Central DHA Programs under the direction of the Financial Operations Division
  • Keep abreast of all actions, studies, and projects being carried out by the DoD and DHA elements that affect the MHS automated information systems funding and system change requirements.
  • Responsible for the implementation of, and adherence to, sound business and resource management practices throughout all phases of the PPBES in support of DHA GFEBS operations.
  • Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
  • Identify employee’s developmental needs and provide or arrange for training (formal and on-the-job) to maintain and improve job performance.

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • This is a Financial Management Level 3 Certified position. This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
  • This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to pre-employment screening and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to consent to participate in random drug urinalysis testing.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes supporting financial compliance standards, assisting in the execution of budget cycles and financial reporting, participating in program analyses to resolve accounting discrepancies, and providing administrative oversight for team performance and contract outcomes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
