Summary

You will administer multiple established emergency medicine techniques to minimize life threatening conditions.
You will maintain care of emergency equipment (e.g., backboards, suction devices, splints, stretchers, oxygen delivery systems, monitoring equipment, specialized kits and bags) to ensure safety upon treating patients.
You will assess a patient systematically to identify the nature, extent, and seriousness of the patient's condition.
You will provide invasive airway procedures (e.g., needle or surgical cricothyrotomy, pleural decompression, endotracheal intubation, nasal intubation) to establish an airway during life threatening situations.
You will participate in daily training/ instruction covering all phases of fire protection and prevention.
You will periodically perform as a member of swift water rescue, confined space rescue, dive rescue and boat teams or providing direct support as part of the overall effort.
You will perform routine maintenance of fire pumps, ladders, fire hoses and specialized tools/equipment used on assigned apparatus, as well as routine care and maintenance of ambulances.
You will perform fire prevention/protection inspection duties to include maintenance of fire extinguishing systems.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
