Duties

Help
  • Responsible for the management and execution of business activities, critical support services, and long-range strategic planning.
  • Oversight of all operations both clinical and administrative across the network, providing expert advice and support.
  • Provides guidance and expertise in healthcare delivery, and various taskings, directives, policies and guidance.
  • Maintains consistent communication with staff across the enterprise.
  • Provides guidance and expertise in all aspects of healthcare delivery.
  • Meets daily with Network Director and Deputy Director, and assists in executing their direction and guidance.

  • This position is designated “Mission Essential”.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Tier 3 Position (Secret): Position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • One-year supervisory probationary period required.
  • A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
  • Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
  • Immunization screening is required. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
  • This position requires 10% TDY travel.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually, thereafter

Qualifications



In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes management and execution of business activities, critical support services, and long-range strategic planning; directs planning and execution of financial processes, information management; manpower and personnel; personnel resource assignments and skill development; conduct extensive coordination of staff actions, develop policies and guidance, and provide expert staff advice; and perform supervisory responsibilities for personnel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
