As a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), GS-2003-11, you will plan, organize and manage supply and services functions to include command supply and storage, and command equipment property accountability management; formulate and implement command supply operating procedures and policies necessary to support units; advise the DOL on command supply and services status and recommends support required for current and proposed operations; collect and consolidate data for areas in which operations are anticipated; maintain current command supply analysis on trends of effectiveness and efficiency; direct actions to improve/correct undesirable supply conditions, practices and policy in the command; manage, control, analyze and recommend corrective action for property losses in the command; receive fiscal information from each subordinate function to prepare and review budget estimates for the command supply and services functions; monitor required unit equipment inventories and is active in the development, scheduling and execution of annual/special command physical inventories; monitor unit DODAAC submissions; ensure timely unit submissions on adds, changes, or deletes.

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709", and is open to Category 1 & 3 Only.Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency WITH dual FL National Guard military membership; Category 3:
PCS:Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.

MILITARY GRADES Officer/Warrant Officer/Enlisted: E6 thru O4
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-11 Must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-09 level or the equivalent which provides knowledge and/or experience, education, or training supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions. Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system. Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
TEMPORARY PROMOTION- For Title 32 selectees only: This is an obligated position (incumbent is on a military tour). If a permanent employee in the Title 32 excepted civil service accepts this position, he/she will retain their permanent status AND return to their previous Title 32 position once incumbent returns from military duty. If the military tour member, who has reemployment rights to this position, does not exercise his/her reemployment rights within 5 years, the selected individual may remain in this position without further competition.
INDEFINITE APPOINTMENT-For Current Title 5 selectees only: This is an obligated position (incumbent is on a military tour). If an on-board individual employed in the Title 5 excepted civil service accepts this position, he/she will receive an indefinite appointment (Tenure 3). If a Reduction-In-Force occurs and/or the military tour member exercises reemployment rights to this position, the indefinite appointee will have no reemployment rights to any other position and may be separated. If the military tour member, having reemployment rights to this position, does not exercise his/her rights within 5 years, this position may be converted to a permanent status without further competition.
