Duties

Help
  • You will serve as Director or Cruise Missile Support Activity Pacific (CMSA PAC) Information Technology Department.
  • You will perform a full range of supervisory responsibilities for a subordinate supervisor staff.
  • You will make technical and executive decisions for the department in all areas of functional responsibility.
  • You will manage first and second tier supervisors to oversee all assigned civilian, military, and contractor personnel.
  • You will ensure department activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.
  • You will ensure maximum system availability to support mission requirements for all CMSA PAC missions and mission support functions.
  • You will represent the command both as an advocate for the operational user as well as a cyber/cybersecurity and cross domain solution SME within the TLAM and HSW system development community.

  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 461 Systems Security Analyst, 451 Systems Administrator, 441 Network Operations Specialist, proficiency level Advanced.
  • The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Experience applying knowledge mastery of the professional field of IT consisting of Information concepts, principles, and practices relating to the interrelationships of multiple IT disciplines such as hardware integration, operating systems, cybersecurity and application software.
  • Experience applying in-depth knowledge of operating systems and virtualization software (e.g. Windows Server, Hyper-V, VMware, and Linux operating environment), Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise
    Linux Workstation, data storage virtualization hardware and techniques.
  • Experience applying level of knowledge required in Cisco networking devices/applications (e.g. Cisco Router/Switch Internetworking Operating System (IOS), Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)) and cyber security tools/appliances (e.g. Nessus Security Center, SolarWinds Orion and Security Event Manager, Splunk, Cisco Secure Firewalls).
  • Experience applying mastery of and skill in integrating the aforementioned multiple IT specialty areas needed to plan, design and implement systems/networking projects and develop innovative strategies
    for resolving system/network implementation integration issues.
  • Experience applying subject matter expert level knowledge of duties required for Standoff Precision Strike Mission Planners.
  • Experience applying knowledge of operational Tomahawk Land Attack Cruise Missile variants, capabilities, flight characteristics and constraints, planning and strike execution.
  • Experience applying Knowledge of operational CPS/LRHW hypersonic weapon variants, capabilities, flight characteristics and constraints, planning and strike execution.
