Duties

As a Marketing Specialist, you will:

  • Gather information, identifying and analyzing issues, and developing recommendations to resolve substantive problems of effectiveness and efficiency of work operations in a program or program support setting.
  • Develop new or modified work methods, organizational structures, records and files, management process, staffing patterns, procedures for administering program services, guidelines and procedures and automating work processes for the conduct of administrative support functions or program operations.
  • Plan and carry out projects to improve the efficiency and productivity of organizational and employees in administrative support activities.
  • Identify, analyze, and make recommendations to resolve conventional problems and situations in workflow, work distribution, staffing, performance appraisal, organizational structure, and/or administration.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Be sure all experience is documented in your resume by indicating place of employment, job title, length of time performing the duties, and the name and contact information for the supervisor. Specialized Experience:
For the GS-13 is one year of experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent in either public or private sectors, that is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as:

  • Experience bringing multiple consumer products to market from inception to product launch; AND
  • Providing post launch product support by monitoring and managing product inventory, sales revenue and marketing, and advertising promotions for those products throughout the product lifecycle; AND
  • Performing comparative analysis of previous product and/or the performance of similar products sales history; AND
  • Utilizing Oracle to process order entry for high-value bullion products.

In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-13 you must have been at the GS-12level for 52 weeks.
