Duties

Help
  • Serve as the Supervisory Program Manager (OPS)/J33 Resources and Scheduling Operations Officer of the J33 Resources Division.
  • Provide technical oversight, coordination, and integration of complex multilateral functions relative to resource management, asset allocation, force package development, briefings, and correspondence.
  • Liaison with internal, external, civilian, and military organizations to support further development of resources and operational assets supporting Counter Illicit Trafficking Operations (CITO).
  • Coordinate with senior leadership on support requirements of various Government/Contractor Operated and Owned assets providing services to CIT operations involving aircraft, unmanned aerial systems, hybrid resources, and surface ships.
  • Create, develop, establish, lead, and participate in planning forums, conferences, advisory groups, meetings, working group sessions and other venues to further enhance collaboration, strategic goals, and visions of the command.
  • Assign and review work, provide expert direction, set performance standards and evaluate employee performance.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • May require Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 50% of the time.
  • This position is designated Tier 5, Special Sensitive, High Risk and the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance Level with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access as a condition of employment.
  • Must complete a nondisclosure agreement.
  • This is a drug testing designated position (TDP) under the Department of the Army Drug­ Free Federal Workplace Program in accordance with AR 600-85. (See Additional Information section below).

Army DCIPS positions apply Veteran's Preference to preference eligible candidates as defined by Section 2108 of Title 5 U.S.C., in accordance with the procedures provided in DoD Instruction 1400.25, Volume 2005, DCIPS Employment and Placement.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing guidance or oversight to subordinates such as assigning work load, overseeing training requirements, or reviewing final work products; networking, partnering, or collaborating with a variety of civilian and/or military organizations to provide support in counter-drug operations; and supporting counter illicit trafficking operations and efforts such as overseeing resource requirements and/or contractual obligations; fostering partnerships with government and/or contractors; or participating in forums, conferences, and/or advisory groups. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS/GG-13).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program. This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
  • This is a drug testing designated position (TDP) under the Department of the Army Drug­ Free Federal Workplace Program in accordance with AR 600-85. Signing of a DA Form 5019 (Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified as Critical under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program) acknowledging periodic random drug testing requirements is mandatory prior to being placed into this position. Those individuals not currently occupying a TDP position must successfully complete a pre­ appointment drug test prior to being placed into this position and periodically thereafter.
