Duties

Help
  • Serves as Security Specialist under the Director, Special Access Program Management Office (J0X), Office of the Chief of Staff USCYBERCOM, providing policy guidance for the establishment and management of SAP facilities under the purview of USCBERCOM
  • Serves as the subject matter expert on the adequacy and effectiveness of security measures government sensitive activities and protection of USCYBERCOM’s SAP technology, information and operations worldwide
  • Provides planning insight and recommendations to senior federal government, DOD and DA officials regarding procurement funding and new policy
  • Provides recommendations on resolution of complex SAP security vulnerabilities and possible technological responses to increased threats to USCYBERCOM SAP information, facilities, and personnel
  • Provides SAP security management services for the Command and serves as the USCYBERCOM program manager and technical authority responsible for directing command security operations for SAP
  • Responsible for ensuring the adherence to standards through oversight of all aspects of SAP security management with SAP Program Managers (PM)
  • Leads efforts to document command SAP workforce policies and processes
  • Participates as a key management official and subject matter expert in planning, directing, coordinating, facilitating, and assessing the USCYMBERCOM SAPMOs security policies

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Employee may be recalled to duty, may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, and may be required to work overtime.
  • Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military and/or commercial aircraft.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret (TS) security clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • Must pass a Counterintelligence (CI) scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on pre-appointment and remain subject to random CI scope polygraph examinations for the duration of employment if access to a SAP is required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Incumbent must meet NSA personnel security requirements outlined in NSA/CSS Policy 5-1
  • Requires Temporary Duty travel up to 25% of the time.

Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1) supporting security measures governing sensitive activities and protection of special access program technology, information and operations; 2) providing planning insight and recommendations to leadership regarding procurement funding, new policy, resolution of security vulnerabilities and possible technological responses to increased threats to information, facilities, and/or personnel; and 3) participating as subject matter expert in planning, directing, coordinating, security policies.
