Major Duties
Performs reviews of payroll reports out of DCPS, RSD/ EOS Thin client, and HRsmart, researching policies, procedures, knowledge bases, and reference materials for functional and technical incidents to provide guidance for resolving the issue or for the incumbent to resolve the issue.
Performs as an analyst in major FSC and VA projects, including, but not limited to planning and deployment of upgrades or new systems that relate to those above.
Troubleshoots issues in critical or emergency situations, such as the transmission of missing time reports to DFAS.
Documents the technical details for each issue on the report line item for further review of management to determine if a system change is warranted.
Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.

Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. To update your application, including supporting documentation: During the announcement open period, return to your USAJOBS account, find your application record, and click Edit my application. This option will no longer be available once the announcement has closed.
To view the announcement status or your application status: Click on this: https://www.usajobs.gov/Help/how-to/application/status/. Your application status page is where you can view your application status, USA Hire assessment completion status (if applicable), and review your notifications sent by the hiring agency regarding your application.
Once your online application is submitted you will receive a confirmation notification by email. After we receive application packages (including all required documents) and the vacancy announcement closes, we will review applications to ensure qualification and eligibility requirements are met. After the review is complete, a referral certificate(s) is issued and applicants will be notified of their status by email. Referred applicants will be notified as such and may be contacted directly by the hiring office for an interview. All referred applicants receive a final notification once a selection decision has been made.
You may check the status of your application at any time by logging into your USA Jobs account and clicking on Applications. Information regarding your application status can be found in the USAJobs Help Center.
