Duties

Help
  • Assists with planning, scheduling, estimating, expediting, monitoring, and coordinating various munitions activities.
  • Coordinates with Project Managers, Item Managers and Project Officers to ensure shipping and receiving documentation for items are accurate and complete.
  • Identifies stock quantity discrepancies and inventories stock in locations to ensure quantities reflected are accurate.
  • Monitors history of transactions and notifies inventory personnel of any discrepancies that cannot be corrected.
  • Inputs data cards into an automated database e.g., Worldwide Ammunition-data Repository System, fills out material inspection and receiving reports, and sends to Quality Assurance personnel who assign lot numbers to ammunition.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • Must comply with Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements as this is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion or an on-duty accident.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • Position is subject to the Lautenberg/Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment covered by the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence are not eligible for the position.
  • One-year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • This position requires a Noncritical-Sensitive, Secret level security clearance.
  • Position requires ammunition certification IAW AMC-R 350-4 within one year of employment.
  • Back To Basics: (Foundational) This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for (ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT) certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty.
  • Training and Certification Program for Personnel Working in Ammunition Operations, and CAAA regulation 350-1 -Explosive Safety Certification Program.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.


Specialized Experience: Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience at the NJ-02 (GS-08 equivalent) in the Federal service which includes: 1) Determining the status of various aspects of production to support the overall mission (e.g., funding, procurement, tracking components or raw materials required); 2) Analyzing work processes to recommend production process improvements and/or recommending methods/procedures to improve the efficiency/quality of operations; and 3). Demonstrating knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, such as the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP), to plan, schedule, review, forecast workload, and adjust production programs.
