Help

The primary purpose of this position is to analyze malfunctions, troubleshoot, repair, install, maintain, test, inspect, and modify the electrical/environmental systems and other systems on and/or off-aircraft.

(1) Performs maintenance, inspects, modifies, tests, services, troubleshoots, isolates malfunctions, and repairs the aircraft electrical/environmental systems and other aircraft systems.
(2) Provides technical advice and troubleshooting expertise to other work centers as needed when electrical or environmental systems affect the aircraft systems such as radar, weapons release, navigation, communication, instruments, flight controls, pneudraulics, fuel or other systems/subsystems.
(3) Provides on-the-job training to lower graded personnel or to newly assigned personnel regardless of grade.
(4) Requisitions, processes, and accounts for supply assets as required by the repairable processing system.
(5) Complies with safety, fire, security, and housekeeping regulations and ensures that material and equipment are properly stored, protected, maintained and secured.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Open to current or prior service active duty, reserve or national guard members of one of the branches of the US Air Force, Army, Navy, or Marines.
Military members: Submit vMPF Rip, DVR, STP, ERS, MBS, or PDR with resume.
Prior service members: Submit a DD Form 214.
Must become a military member of the Wyoming Air Nat'l Guard before appt.

Federal employment suitability is determined by a background investigation.
Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY BE authorized, if eligible. Subject to funding and TAG approval.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS & NOTES:
Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT).
Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses.

Acceptance of a permanent or indefinite position will cause termination from the Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP) and TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS).

1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
3. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
4. May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required.
5. Duties and responsibilities may significantly impact the environment. Responsible to maintain awareness of environmental responsibilities as dictated by legal and regulatory requirements, organization, and its changing mission.

Qualifications

AREAS OF CONSIDERATION:
The consideration of qualified eligible candidates will be as follows:

Area 1: Permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ANG employees assigned to the 153 MXS.
Area 2: Permanent and indefinite Wyoming Air National Guard (ANG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Air National Guard.
Area 4: Current military members of the Wyoming Air National Guard.
Area 6: Current and prior military service members separated from any branch of the military to include US Air Force, US Army, US Navy, US Marine Corps, Reserves, and National Guard components. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Air National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess experience or training in locating and tying in the electrical systems with the aircraft armament, electronics, and instrument systems; adjusting and calibrating the components of the various electrical systems; reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematics.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must possess experience or training installing, maintaining, repairing and modifying electrical systems and major substation components of electrical systems. Experience diagnosing malfunctions and determining remedy when complex relationships exist among different electrical system circuits requiring knowledge of all electrical units and systems. Experience making electrical repairs that require the use of precision measuring equipment and common hand tools. Experience in the setup and operation of computerized multiple circuit analyzing equipment in manual, semiautomatic, or automatic mode to run existing and new (not fully debugged) diagnostic programs to test and analyze aircraft electrical circuitry and interconnecting cabling of systems such as navigational computers, radar, and related equipment and to repair discrepancies.

NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Applicants must provide from MM/YYYY - MM/YYYY (e.g., 02/2015 - 03/2017 or Feb 2017 - Mar - 2017) dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the resume.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES (KSAs):
Technical Competence
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement.

Must possess or be eligible to retrain into AFSC 2A6X6, AIRCRAFT ELECTRICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS.

Enlisted 2A6X6 ASVAB Requirements:
Must possess a minimum score of "41" on the Mechanical AND"61"on the Electrical portion of the ASVAB. Medical Profile PULHES must not be greater than 333132. Must be able to lift 70 lbs. unassisted.

DRIVER'S LICENSE:
Must possess a valid state's driver's license.
