Duties

Help
  • Monitor facility Sustainment, Renovation and Modernization projects.
  • Evaluate the condition of all facility components, buildings, and ongoing repairs.
  • Utilize existing maintenance management software to track facility maintenance.
  • Reviews proposals for facility development projects that include landscaping, playgrounds, sports fields and school safety projects.
  • Develop a budget for facility operations that include maintenance, custodial services and grounds maintenance.
  • Develops Statement of Works, Performance Work Statements and manages services contracts in various facility management Trades such as grounds maintenance, elevators, and fire alarms systems
  • Supervisor duties, assign employees workload, resolve conflicts, recommend administration actions, timecard management, hiring actions, appraisals and works with HR, LMER and other agency offices on multiple personnel actions to support employees.
  • Manages all Facility Operations of facility maintenance, custodial services, grounds maintenance and pest management.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing facility operations programs; conducting surveillance activities over construction and facility maintenance operations; monitoring budget expenditures for facility projects; and performing facility maintenance or construction work for variety of construction or facility maintenance projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
