Duties

Help

  • The Chief Integrations Officer provides executive advice and assistance to the 502d Civil Engineer Group Director on a wide range of administrative organizational issues.
  • Monitors special projects and conducts complex studies pertaining to sensitive subject matters of a confidential nature.
  • Participates in special studies and prepares input on complex matters of particular concern and interest to the 502d Civil Engineer Group Director.
  • Represents the 502d Civil Engineer Group with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions- Miscellaneous Administration & Program (0301).

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of the principles, theories, techniques, practices, mission, and organizational structure of the specific program and or functional field to support JBSA wide personnel/manpower/services program administration responsibilities. Thorough knowledge of DoD, AF, Federal and industry policies, regulations, and organizational structure and mission as well as the principles, practices, and functions of personnel/manpower/services program administration to support operations and perform difficult and complex work assignments. Knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods to develop, monitor, and analyze applicable statistical data to track and assess the efficiency and effectiveness of programs to meet strategic goals and plan improvements of programs for the 502d Civil Engineer Group. Knowledge in the use of analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to the measurement and improvement of program effectiveness, and in serving as a technical specialist and spokesperson to further the 502d Civil Engineer Group objectives on important issues.

FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

1. Knowledge of the principles, theories, techniques, practices, mission, and organizational structure of the specific program and or functional field to support Air Force wide personnel/manpower/services program administration responsibilities

2. Knowledge of the laws, regulations, principles, and practices of personnel/manpower/services program administration.

3. Knowledge of sustainment program inspection requirements, reports, and program terms, as well as knowledge of common management principles to provide advisory services and inspect assigned programs.

4. Skill in adapting analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to the measurement and improvement of program effectiveness, and in serving as a technical specialist and spokesperson to further operating agency objectives on important issues.

5. Ability to prepare special studies and staff reports, including the ability to meet emergency and/or changing program requirements within available resources and with minimum sacrifice of quality or quantity of work.

6. Ability to establish effective working relationships and to communicate well with others, orally and in writing, including preparing and conducting formal and informal briefings.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
