Duties

Help
  • Develops and coordinates General Fund (GF) and Defense Working Capital Fund (DWCF) budgetary products across the PPBE process, various strategic initiatives, and the full range of budgetary services at a headquarters level.
  • Directs activities related to the development of policies and procedures the ensure effective planning of DISA GF and DWCF resources and the management of budgetary requirements.
  • Provides expert budgetary advice agency-wide regarding the development of the DISA GF and DWCF Budget Estimate Submission (BES) and the President's Budget (PB).
  • Develops operational evaluations and related recurring and one-time analytical budgetary reports for presentation to top-level agency managers for their use in decision-making.
  • Performs the full spectrum of supervisory functions, including directing and guiding multiple subordinate supervisors and teams, planning work and setting priorities, and coordinating administrative actions (e.g., timecards, performance plans, etc.).

Qualifications

Time in Grade: For entry at the GS-15 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-14 or higher grade in the Federal Service. In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.

Qualifying Experience: For the GS-15, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-14 if outside the Federal service.

Specialized Experience at the GS-15 is defined as: Experience leading a team conducting planning, programming, and budget formulation activities for a large-scale organization, including, but not limited to, developing budget processes and guidance, evaluating budget requests for alignment to strategic goals, making critical budgetary decisions, evaluating the impact of new legislation on budget activities, and effectively communicating and defending budgetary requests to senior leaders.

You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
