Duties

Help

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as a senior analyst responsible for designing and conducting comprehensive management studies.
  • Estimate and report progress in meeting established milestones and deadlines for completion of assignments, projects, and tasks.
  • Monitor data and performance metrics, create reports, maintain records and deliver presentations to management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are integrated into the strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services.
  • Review and reconcile large amounts of data to perform program cost analyses such as development of life cycle, performance of cost benefit or economic evaluations of programs.
  • Apply analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations to make recommendations for improvement and develop modifications/revisions.
  • Participate in discussions, meetings, conferences with agency administrators, senior subject matter and technical personnel, and other federal agency officials to secure and provide information; investigate facts; present conclusions, recommendations, and alternatives; obtain concurrence; develop alternate courses of actions; and mutually resolve problems.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 03/12/2026.

Grade Requirement: IAW 5 CFR. 330.607, CTAP eligible applicants must hold a GS-14 position. This must be supported by the SF-50.

You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
Specialized Experience: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-13) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Using advanced data analytics and statistical methods to evaluate programs and operations; Designing and implementing dashboards, reports, and visualizations for executive decision-making; Designing and implementing SharePoint sites for executives; Extracting, transforming, and analyzing complex datasets using tools such as SQL, R, Python, Excel, or SAS; Leading or coordinating data projects with cross-functional team.
You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:

  • Problem solving related to organizational performance

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.

Physical Requirements: Work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required.
