Duties

Help
  • Provides technical Unaccompanied Housing (UH) and Furnishings Management housing expertise and assistance to Garrison Commander/Manager and other installation staff in representing Department of the Army (DA), IMCOM, and garrison objectives.
  • Responsible for broad management functions with the planning, management, administration and implementation of the technical and administrative operations of the Unaccompanied Housing (UH), Furnishings Management housing programs.
  • Develops garrison policies for all aspects of housing programs.
  • Reviews, evaluates, and interprets, Department of Defense (DoD), DA, and IMCOM policies and procedures, developing and recommending guidance required to provide sufficient criteria for accomplishment of the mission goals/assignments.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State and/or International driver’s license.
  • This position is an inclement weather essential position and the incumbent is expected to make every attempt to report for duty on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions.
  • Position may require after hours call-back for emergencies.
  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance Level as a condition of employment.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.
  • Incumbent may be required to serve a supervisory probationary period.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Assists in the management of unaccompanied housing to include furnishings; 2) Executes sustainment plans by analyzing housing data to prepare related reports, briefs, and charts; 3) Conducts property inspections to assess adequacy and habitability. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS- 11).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
