Help
  • Provides oversight and management of the marketing office and staff. Primary responsibility is to promote and market services that support strategic business initiatives.
  • Implements promotions and marketing campaigns that support offered programs, services, facilities, and activities.
  • Campaigns are designed to stimulate business and create awareness. Develops plans that will meet program objective.
  • Maintains effective communication for coordination purposes. Conducts Commercial Sponsorship and Advertising.
  • Evaluates strengths and weaknesses of programs. Determines optimum marketing mix to achieve objectives.

  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Eligible citizenship is U.S. citizen or non-U.S. citizen under Japan/U.S. SOFA agreement. U.S. citizens overseas under ordinary resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement.

Qualifications

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.

  1. Related work experience that include events and promotion implementation management experience.
  2. Technical skills to effectively perform marketing and promotions using tools of the trade and social media.
  3. Ability to professionally communicate both orally and in writing.
  4. Must be able to develop and make written and oral presentations of technical materials to nontechnical personnel.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":
  • 3 Years of work experience in promotion and marketing services to include leveraging social media platforms, and developing written and oral presentations.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese both orally and in writing.

Qualifications must be clearly verifiable in your resume. Government positions must include pay plan, series, grade, to and from dates, and government agency/department.

Allowances and Differentials
  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Foreign overseas allowances, cost of living allowance (COLA), and differentials will not be paid.
  • Living Quarter Allowance (LQA) is not authorized.
  • Post Allowance will be paid if eligible.

Healthcare Access and Availability:
  • If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
  • If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler, but for the child's age, is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, then the Military Department responsible for Early Intervention Services (EIS) will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
  • Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only.
