Duties

Help
  • Directs and develops plans for project teams or other groups in accomplishing and/or producing projects and/or studies.
  • Develops, analyzes, and evaluates new or modified program and/or management policies, regulations, goals, or objectives.
  • Supervises employees on a regular and recurring basis to include selection of employees, assigning and reviewing work, approving leave, rating performance, recommending awards and promotions, etc.
  • Evaluates and advises on organization, methods, and procedures.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes:

  • Directs plans for teams to implement policies, regulations and procedures.
  • Developing and evaluating program effectiveness, compliance or efficiency.
  • Leading projects and providing recommendations to resolving complex issues.
  • Supervising staff work products and having input on performance, awards, and leave.

Education cannot be substituted at this grade level

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
