Duties

Help
  • Serve as lead or primary Budget Analyst responsible for the Directorate of Public Works (DPW) budget planning
  • Prepare, analyze, and submit the annual DPW Command Budget Estimate (CBE) by Management Decision Package (MDEP) and commitment item for higher headquarters approval
  • Serve as lead or primary budget analyst responsible for the Directorate of Public Works (DPW) cost and budget execution
  • Provide advice and guidance to the organization in the interpretation and application of procedural guides and policy directives concerning work classification, facility ownership, and funding sources
  • Coordinate and initiate creation of Work Breakdown Structures (WBSs) in GFEBS to ensure proper cost allocation

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience- One year of specialized experience which includes performing formulation and execution of budgets for organizations, programs or projects, determining obligations, expenditures, and requested allotments are within funding limitations and advising management on budgetary issues.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-???????11).
