Help

Interpret directives and research reference materials, regulations, and standard procedures concerning the credentialing of HealthCare Providers.
Coordinate credentialing actions, including assisting the Coordinator in making selective assignments to credentialing personnel.
Develop, revise credential program policies and procedures to meet program requirements.
Prepare statistical reports pertinent to the credentialing process.
Maintain a variety of files and records pertaining to sensitive and non-sensitive correspondence and credentialing privileging process.
Ensure routine and adverse privileging actions are current and accurate.

A one-year probationary period.
This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.

Specialized Experience: One year of Specialized experience which includes performing credentialing/privileging processes related to clerical and administrative support duties within a medical treatment facility; such as monitoring adverse action cases; performing risk management assessments; evaluating medical education and requirements for licensure and certification registration applications; processing of credentials and privileging documents; and utilizing healthcare system databases to enter and retrieve data.

OR

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration.

OR

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
