Duties

Help
  • Serves as a Supply Management Specialist within the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Headquarters, Enterprise Analytics and Modernization Executive Directorate.
  • Develop policies and procedures to be deployed throughout the Agencies Program Support community, responsible for the assurance of sound subcontract management systems.
  • Provides executive awareness, prevention and correction of deficiencies in the material acquisition system, and for prompt decisions on procurement matters within the Defense industrial base and have Department of Defense-wide impact.
  • Interfaces with personnel at all levels of the Operational Commands Headquarters, other Agencies, suppliers and other representatives from private industry.
  • Fosters an environment that embraces best practices and continuous improvement. Using insight from all levels within the Agency establishes resource and budget planning targets.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Supply Management Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in, or related to, this position. To qualify for the NH-04 level, specialized experience must be at the NH-03 or GS-13 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:

  • Developing and implementing supply chain related policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Analyzing supply chain related performance data and metrics to evaluate policy effectiveness, identify risks, and guide process improvements.
  • Creating and delivering training programs or technical guidance on supply chain related processes and best practices to stakeholders.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
