Duties

Help
  • As a Supervisory Interdisciplinary, you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list:
  • Establish workload priorities and initiates assignments based on the difficulty, complexity, type of work and employee capabilities.
  • Apply a multi-disciplined engineering knowledge to perform General Engineering duties with the Directorate.
  • Determine real property shortfalls or excesses.
  • Oversee control of all installation property to include evaluation for requests, analysis of available assets, impact on future operations and transfer of available real property to meet daily and un-programmed requirements.
  • Conduct utilization surveys of real property, maintains assets accountability, maintains utilization and accountability category codes and determines real property shortfalls and excesses.
  • Evaluate employee performance and identify the training needs of staff.

  • Temporary duty travel (5% or less) away from the normal duty station.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • One year supervisory probationary period may be required.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, you must also meet the specialized experience requirements listed below:

Specialized Experience required:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience providing advisory or review services on specific problems, projects, programs, and/or functions related to engineering, architecture, and/or community planning; developing facility plans and objectives including criteria, procedures, and instructions; analyzing the impacts (i.e., benefits and liabilities) of facility projects and, developing processes, briefings and instructions related to community planning aspects of agency programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service or equivalent (GS-12).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone -no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
