Description:
Join the Space Force at the Pentagon as an Executive Support Specialist, where you'll be at the forefront of strategic operations for the 3-Star Deputy Chief of Space Operations. In this fast-paced, high-visibility role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring that our senior leadership is always in the right place at the right time. Your daily tasks will include synchronizing calendars with top officials like the Secretary of the Air Force and the Chief of Space Operations, developing and coordinating travel itineraries for both CONUS and OCONUS trips, and leading weekly calendar deconfliction reviews.

If you thrive in a dynamic environment and enjoy coordinating high-level activities, this is the perfect opportunity for you! You'll be responsible for managing travel logistics, coordinating executive participation in major conferences, and handling incoming calls-all while supporting a mission that's out of this world. If you're organized, proactive, and ready to make an impact, we want to hear from you.

The ideal candidate for the Executive Assistant position should have a strong background in executive office management and automation, particularly within the DoD. This requires experience in managing multiple executives' calendars and in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite. Additionally, proficiency in critical programs such as the Government Credit Card, Government Purchase Credit Card, and the Defense Travel System is essential. Strong professional communication skills are a must, as the candidate will need to confidently interact with senior service leadership.

Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of the organizational and functional responsibilities and operations of the employing organization.
2. Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, and spreadsheets.
3. Knowledge of protocol principles and associated regulations, policies, directives, procedural guides, precedents and instructions, and military and civilian rank structure in order to coordinate and assure adherence to proper ceremony and etiquette.
4. Skill in managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
5. Skill in interpreting functional policies, procedures, and techniques to develop viable programmatic options for satisfying the organization's changing priorities.
6. Skill in intrapersonal relationships to work with senior officials.
7. Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
8. Ability to plan and organize work.
9. Ability to access or locate information through the use of a person, computer or terminal.
10. Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team.
