Duties

Help
  • Manage the day-to- day operations of the CMS Central Office PIV Card Issuance Facility (PCIF) servicing roughly 6,000 customers per year in accordance with and ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
  • Provide analysis of existing credentialing processes, policies, and countermeasures, as needed.
  • Forecast funding for associated contracts, determine contractor support needs, coordinate access requests, track expenditure of assigned funds, and handle Statement of Works, as well as Interagency Agreements.
  • Provide authoritative advice and guidance to management and staff on complex and sensitive issues related to the credentialing office, the personnel security investigative, and adjudicative processes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of long- and short-range goals and objectives to ensure CMS’ compliance.

In order to qualify for the GS-13 , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: .

  1. .Managing credentialing operations and life cycle processes in accordance with standards, directives, and security background investigation requirements AND
  2. .Analyzing and implementing policies or guidelines to ensure the goals of the credentialing program are met; AND
  3. .Forecasting budget funding for contracts and expenditures for a program..
Requirement: You must obtain and maintain a Level III Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) Certification.

Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current or former Federal employees and current or former Federal employees applying under the VEOA eligibility who hold or have held a permanent General Schedule position in the previous year must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.
