Duties

Help
  • Manage and advise on the technical and administrative aspects of privatized and unaccompanied housing programs in accordance to organizational and regulatory guidance.
  • Oversee operations (e.g., inventory management, community liaison, requirements, resourcing, etc.) for all housing assets and programs in accordance to regulatory standards.
  • Convey ideas and facts to senior leaders to assist with productivity, quality management and organizational improvements.
  • Convey information in a clear and concise manner using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling to senior leaders within and outside the organization.

  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.

  • Position may require after hours call-back for emergencies.
  • Position is designated Mission Essential in accordance with DoDI 3020.42. Incumbent is required to report for duty during inclement weather, Natural Disasters, and other emergency situations as directed by the Supervisor and/or Local Command Policy
  • and may be required to remain on duty after the official shift ends, i.e., mandatory overtime; subject to recall to duty. Incumbent must maintain a functioning telephone to aid in contact during recall/emergency situations.

  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

  • The position requires that the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience which includes experience with the planning, management, administration, coordination and implementation of housing management programs such as Unaccompanied Housing (UH), Residential Communities Initiative (RCI), or Housing Services Office (HSO). Conducts inspections of various properties to determine adequacy, habitability and suitability for occupancy. Develop housing policy, collect data and prepare various briefs, charts, reports and correspondence. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the first lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
