Help
  • You will serve as the Director of Strategic Operations for Team Ships in the PROGRAM EXECUTIVE OFFICE SHIPS.
  • You will lead multi-functional teams in fact finding, analysis, and strategy development key to Team Ships' surface ship acquisition and maintenance programs.
  • You will discuss and interpret major policies and defend Command position(s), as well as influence and persuade others concerning high priority Team Ships objectives.
  • You will design, deliver, and coordinate communication strategies addressing a myriad of complex issues involved in the execution of major ship/system programs.
  • You will be responsible for designing long range plans and programs for surface ship acquisition and maintenance programs, which assist ASN, DON and DoD in surface ship acquisition and maintenance programs.
  • You will evaluate programs, address potential problems, and assess impact of pending or implemented policy decisions.
  • You will identify resources, e.g. staff, funding, equipment, facilities, etc. to support operations both within the Strategic Operations Directorate, and across Team Ships.
  • You will provide recommendations and guide the Team Ships organization strategically in order to best serve the mission.
  • You will assure the technical adequacy and accuracy of completed assignments and exercise initiatives in resolving problems that arise from ambiguous and conflicting priorities, policies, and regulations.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band (GS-13 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector evaluating an organization's operations to recommend strategies, convey information, and maintain relationships in order to achieve organizational goals.

This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-4 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.

A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.

Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
