This is your opportunity to drive critical technical programs to success-balancing priorities and delivering key capabilities on time and within budget, all while supporting the critical mission to secure U.S. space dominance. If you have the expertise to lead high-impact projects and thrive in a dynamic, mission-driven environment, we want you on our team!

Ideal Candidate:

You will apply your expertise to manage complex technical projects from the planning phase through execution, ensuring alignment with the Defense Acquisition System. Your leadership will ensure that programs remain on schedule, within budget, and compliant with all applicable regulations and policies, contributing directly to the Space Force's mission.

Key Responsibilities:

This includes tracking milestones, performance metrics, and deadlines to ensure contractors meet their requirements. Regularly liaise with contracting officers, legal teams, and key stakeholders to address any discrepancies, resolve issues, and ensure timely execution of contracts. Provide detailed reports on contract status, performance, and risk assessments, advising leadership on potential impacts to squadron operations and mission success.
- Technical Leadership: Provide input and guidance on technical aspects of the projects, utilizing a solid understanding of space-based systems and technologies. Work with senior technical experts to translate mission requirements into executable acquisition strategies. Ensure that technical solutions are practical and align with project goals.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with cross-functional teams to support the successful execution of projects. Provide regular status updates and briefings to senior leadership, contracting officers, and other key stakeholders. Ensure clear communication across all levels of the project team to maintain alignment and focus on project and mission goals.
- Innovative Problem-Solving and Process Improvement: Identify and propose opportunities for improving project efficiency and effectiveness. Lead process improvements to streamline workflows and minimize bottlenecks. Implement practical solutions that improve project performance, reduce risks, and optimize the use of resources.
- Strategic Alignment: Ensure that projects are aligned with the broader strategic objectives of the Space Force, DoW, and other related agencies. Navigate interagency relationships to ensure successful integration and coordination of project activities across multiple stakeholders.
- Decision-Making under Pressure: Evaluate and analyze project performance, taking corrective action when necessary to ensure deadlines and objectives are met. Use sound judgment and problem-solving techniques to manage issues and risks in a dynamic, high-pressure environment, ensuring that decisions are aligned with the mission's goals.
