Area 1: Current on-board Permanent or TERM employees (Tenure 1, 2 or 3), (T32 military technicians/ T5 National Guard employees) of the Tennessee National Guard. Area 2: All current and former traditional drill status guardsmen of the Tennessee National Guard, who meet qualification standards. Area 3: All current State Employees of the Tennessee National Guard, who meet qualification standards.

As a SUPERVISORY ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN, GS-0525-10, you will exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Develop goals and objectives that integrate organizational and Comptroller Division objectives. Establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with other Comptroller Division supervisors, unit supervisors, supported organizations, and higher headquarters. Develop, modify and/or interpret performance standards. Determine appropriate recommendations for unresolved or questionable problems and perform follow-up. Perform other duties as assigned.

  • This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position. Incumbent is required to comply with all DoW and DoA requirements of this certification program. Failure to obtain certification within the required time may be subject to adverse action.
  • May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training involving arithmetic principles, attention to detail, and application of established procedures for recording and compiling data. Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 30 months experience, education, or training in administrative, professional or technical work that provided the opportunity to acquire knowledge of management principles, practices, methods and techniques. Experience must have been in one functional area of accounting which included making objective and logical determination of facts. Experience developing, coordinating and maintaining an integrated accounting system.

Education

THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT LEVEL 2 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051, amending 10 United States Code, section 1599d. Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program. This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action
