About the position: This position will be assigned to the 92 Force Support Squadron, Outdoor Recreation.

The purpose of the position is to perform a variety of general laboring tasks involved with maintenance of the facilities and grounds of Outdoor Recreation.

This is a Temporary and Flexible (Intermittent) position; not to exceed September 26, 2026 guaranteed 0-40 hours per week; depending on the needs of the facility

Duties

Help

1. Operates simple riding-type mowers (e.g. a fixed or floating cutting deck(s) with limited adjustments) and string trimmers intrimming grounds including hillsides, camping areas, and areas needing extra care such as when near customer RV's/other property.
2. Maintains recreational facilities in an orderly and clean manner. Replaces deodorizers, toilet tissue, hand towels, and soap.Reports water leaks, clogged drains, and other conditions requiring maintenance to supervisor. Maintains supply of cleaningmaterials and advises supervisor when more supplies are needed or when equipment needs repair or replacement. Emptieswastebaskets and polishes door knobs and other metal fixtures. Cleans mirrors and water fountains.
3. Responsible for picking up litter and watering lawns around buildings/facilities.
4. Maintains gasoline, oil, and other equipment fluid levels daily. Reports equipment problems and failures to supervisor. Performsbasic preventative maintenance on equipment as directed. Returns equipment to designated location.
5. Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:
Experience which demonstrated the ability to operate, control and clean powered equipment. Must have experience in the proper use of cleaning and sanitizing solutions. Must be able to perform the full range of cleaning duties. Must be able to follow oral and/or written instructions. Experience with riding mowers and other minor landscaping tools/equipment is desirable.

Physical Effort:
Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry heavy objects weighing more than 50 pounds. Work may require extreme physical effort, such as occasionally lifting or carrying objects weighing 80 to I 00 pounds or more with assistance.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
