As a INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, GS-0132-12, you will develop, plan and manage the intelligence l training and readiness program, ensuring that it meets the requirements set forth in applicable policy and regulations and produces trained and qualified Air and Space Operations Center (AOC) Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Division (ISRD) personnel ready to augment MAJCOM deployable AOCs worldwide at the operational level of war. As a recognized expert among the intelligence operations specialists of the unit, the incumbent exercises technical oversight over the training program and represents the AIS Commander in conferences and coordination activities as required. The incumbent exercises in-depth knowledge of the operational needs of the Gaining Command AOC, maintains close coordination with the Gaining Command AOC/ISRD Chief of Training, and ensures that required intelligence training for all unit personnel meets the needs and requirements of the Gaining Command. Due to the unique mission of the c-NAF, this PD cannot be used in any other organization. This position is located in an Air National Guard (ANG), Component Numbered Air Force (cNAF), Air Operations Group (AOG), Air Intelligence Squadron (AIS).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(1) Develops, plans and manages the AIS training program for augmentation of the Gaining Command AOC. Coordinates AIS training requirements with AOG and Gaining Command ISRD. Oversees the development of objectives and work schedules for training assigned personnel during Unit Training Assemblies (UTAs), Annual Training, and unit deployments. Ensures that an annual training plan is developed to train AIS personnel in their AOC positional duties and facilitate the accomplishment of all training requirements. Provides intelligence-specific inputs, describing training objectives for intelligence personnel and required intelligence-related topics for Operations, Communications, Resources, and Support personnel, to the overall AOG training program. Identifies topics for training briefs. Participates in the development of the briefs for presentation to unit members, focusing on the integration of intelligence processes and products into the Air Tasking Order (ATO) production, execution, and combat assessment cycle. Oversees and serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME), trainer, and task certifier for all AIS Initial Qualification (IQT), Mission Qualification Training (MQT), and Continuation Training (CT). Ensures certification and evaluation programs adhere to Training and Standardization and Evaluation regulations and policies.
(2) Ensures that the training program meets the requirements of Air Force, MAJCOM, and ANG regulations in the training and employment of the force-level AOC weapons system. Coordinates training requirements with Gaining Command, Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Agency (AFISRA), Air Combat Command (ACC), Numbered Air Forces (NAFs), and National-level intelligence agencies to ensure intelligence training topics and operations are aligned with emerging AOC requirements. Coordinates with Air Combat Command (ACC), Air Education and Training Command (AETC), and National Guard Bureau, (NGB), to ensure AIS personnel can attend courses required for AOC skill development.
(3) Forecasts long and short-term training shortfalls and determines their potential impact on AOG combat capability. Develops strategies to avert shortfalls and minimize their impact on overall unit training efforts. Reviews Joint and Service Doctrine, Gaining Command training objectives, mission requirements, and Air Force Directives to ensure unit training adheres to current U.S. doctrine.
(4) Recognized as an organization expert within functional assignment. Serves as the unit authority on all aspects of AOC/ISRD internal training. Commits personnel to missions and special exercises, including coordinating with outside agencies, under the general direction of the unit commander. Represents the unit in making agreements and commitments within the scope of assigned functional area of expertise.
(5) Provides input on performance evaluation, career guidance, and technical assistance to full-time and traditional intelligence personnel. Establishes intelligence information requirements, procedures, and work schedules not predetermined by higher headquarters.
(6) Serves as the unit lead for developing concepts and TTPs for distributed operations and reach back in accordance with Management Transformation and Consolidation.
For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.

Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which demonstrates administrative, professional, investigative, or technical work requiring the ability to deal effectively with others, to collect, evaluate and organize pertinent facts. Experience preparing clear and concise written reports.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Mat least 36 months experience, education or training developing and recommending policy, organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of intelligence operations. Experience in administrative, investigative, or technical work which required the applicant to deal effectively with others. Experience collecting, evaluating and organizing pertinent facts and to analyze and prepare clear and concise reports
