  • The incumbent will be required to complete mandatory UDM training to include IDS/LOGMOD training, AEF Reporting Tool (ART) training.
  • Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
  • This position may be designated mission essential based on local conditions. Mission essential personnel report for duty at normal times when the base is closed or delayed reporting, and remain on duty during phased or early release.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the general experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions here.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least three (3) years, 1 year of which equivalent to next lower broadband NH-01, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in the Federal Service. General experience must include assist with evaluating current organizational strategies and performance by applying the organizations mission and functions; understand and aid in the deployment of lean concepts in problem resolution; interpret and apply regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as assist in developing methods and operating procedures as required.

EDUCATION:
4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree in any field. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your official transcript.

OR
Combination Of Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the grade levels specified in the table, and may be computed by first determining the applicant's total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determining the applicant's education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; and then adding the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grades GS-9 and GS-11. (When crediting education that requires specific course work, prorate the number of hours of related courses required as a proportion of the total education to be used.) NOTE: You must submit a copy of your official transcript.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Recent experience in deployment process, requirements and systems: knowledgeable on tools such as AFFORGEN Connect-Envision (AFC-E), ASIMS for medical records
  • Proficient in organizational skills to manage people and assets to ensure unit readiness
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of methods, procedures, and skills in evaluating and performing deployment operations to identify
and meet deployment requirements.
2. Knowledge of a wide range of federal and agency deployment/mobilization concepts, principles, practices,
procedures, regulations, and laws applicable to the full range of UDM management responsibilities.
3. Knowledge of established safety and occupational health principles, practices, procedures, laws, and
regulations related to the safety program, risk assessment methods, and techniques for evaluating occupational
safety and health risks.
4. Knowledge of federal planning policy and guidance to include publications applicable to the functional area.
5. Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, and evaluate
options concerning unit readiness.
6. Ability to recognize the inter-relationships of various aspects of operating programs to integrate and analyze
information to evaluate overall program status.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
