Duties

Help
  • The BO Officer manages and directs multiple business and revenue-generating programs including food and beverage operations, golf, bowling, lodging, recreation, and related enterprises to ensure mission objectives and financial goals are achieved.
  • The incumbent develops, implements, and monitors business plans, budgets, and operating procedures to ensure regulatory compliance, fiscal accountability, and operational efficiency across all assigned programs.
  • The Business Operations Officer provides expert guidance and analysis to leadership through business case studies, performance reviews, and long-range planning, ensuring programs align with strategic MWR and installation objectives.
  • The incumbent coordinates with IMCOM HQ and other MWR divisions to ensure cohesive program delivery, appropriate resource allocation, and the consistent application of policies and standards throughout the organization.
  • The Business Operations Officer exercises full supervisory responsibilities for assigned staff, promoting professional development, accountability, and continuous improvement to achieve excellence in customer service and business performance.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
Must possess at least one year of work experience directing/managing one or more MWR Business Operations activities as listed above, or similar civilian operation. Experience must show the full range of managerial and supervisory duties.

NOTE: The above minimum qualifications must be described within the duties of previous work experience listed on the applicant's resume and/or supporting documents. A copy of all documents must be submitted at the time of application.

** Highly Preferred - Resume must demonstrate experience in the highly preferred criteria.

  1. Experience overseeing multiple facilities and/or multiple business or revenue-generating programs simultaneously, or providing enterprise-level oversight, coordination, or guidance to subordinate managers or leads across different operational areas.
  2. Have at least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience overseeing or managing food and beverage and/or retail operations, with responsibility for financial performance, operational execution, and staff supervision or guidance.
  3. Direct experience overseeing, managing, or providing operational guidance to catering, banquet, conference, or large-scale event operations, including event planning, staffing, service execution, and customer experience management.
  4. Experience overseeing, managing, or providing operational or business guidance to golf course operations, pro shops, or golf-related programs, including responsibility for daily operations, staffing, customer service, or business performance.
Applicants that meet the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others may be referred if management does not make a selection from the Highly Preferred list.

This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
