Duties

Help
  • You will provide analysis and oversight of NAVSUP supply functions as it relates to the Lines of Efforts established for NWCF – SM Inventory operations implemented at NWCF – SM custodial locations
  • You will subsequently provide input and data on matters relating to business process reengineering (BPR) that results from the review of the data and assist in policy rewrites as applicable.
  • You will deal effectively with personnel across a broad spectrum of the supply chain, functioning as an intermediary coordinating between a variety of functional specialties.
  • You will evaluate the impact of those changes in policy and/or technical improvements, extracting data, identifying and summarizing significant business trends and issues.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating the following: 1) Comprehensive functional knowledge of major supply operations and supply chain program management in Naval Supply Systems in order to research, evaluate, and provide support/analysis to correct problems and analyze patterns in customer support requirements. 2) Requires an ability to develop work methods, techniques, create and maintain process maps, business rules, standard operating procedures (SOP), and implementation guidance, as required, for assigned supply chain processes related to the management of NWCF - SM Inventory. 3) Expert knowledge of business management policies, business process analysis methodologies, concepts, practices, and principles in order to fully analyze and develop recommendations for improvement in command operations and objectives. 4)Requires and ability to analyze, extract, summarize, and identify business trends, issues, and systems requirements in response to business requirements, risks and costs. 5) Expert knowledge of group leadership skills, organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal communication skills, to be able to lead group discussions and to strategize how to best meet program requirements and outcomes.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
