Duties

Help
  • You will serve as the principal technical expert and liaison for all Executive VIP communication requirements.
  • You will manage the full lifecycle of specialized executive communication equipment, from evaluating and testing new technology to developing policies for its use and maintenance.
  • You will assist in serving as a Command Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the command's operational battle rhythm.
  • You will develop complex products and presents briefs to Flag/General Officer and Senior Executive Service (SES) audiences.
  • You will supervise a team of Joint-Service personnel.
  • You will evaluate work performance, provide counseling and instruction, and identify developmental training needs.
  • You will develop and implement policies and procedures for the operation, maintenance, and security of executive communication systems.
  • You will evaluate and direct the procurement of new equipment and software to maintain state-of-the art support.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience should demonstrate the following: 1) Manage the availability and operation of visual information equipment, supplies, and systems to ensure material readiness and operational performance. 2) Identifies a need for and knows where or how to gather information; organizes and maintains information or information management systems. 3) Determines its importance and accuracy and communicates it using creative graphic design principles and presenting it using a variety of methods. 4) Applies graphic design principles, methods, tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, evaluating, and managing projects and resources, including technical performance. 5) Creatively present subject matter information in visual form in order to convey intended message to, or have the desired effect on, the intended audience. 6) Develops networks and builds alliances; collaborates across boundaries to build strategic relationships and achieve common goals. 7) Provide visual information counsel to internal and external entities as required to guide interactions between communicators and audiences.
