Duties

Help

Prepares contracts for private functions, using established costs. Orders flowers, decorations, etc. Prepares all related invitation orders, party work sheets and contracts. Assists patrons with time schedules for weddings and other formal functions. Analyzes requirements of the occasion and recommends suitable services, menus and beverage items. Coordinates with club manager, food service staff and patrons. Draws up contracts making commitment for requested functions. Serves as technical advisor on correct protocol procedure.

Qualifications

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
One year of specialized work experience that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of this position or education leading to bachelor's degree directly related to the duties to be performed. Must possess exceptional communication and people skills in customer service and problem resolution. Preferred is post high school education related to the duties to be performed, experience in sales and customer service as well as knowledge and experience with catering management software. Must have effective communications skills and ability to plan, design and exhibit creative displays and layouts. Minimum 3 years administrative and work experience in the catering and banquet industry desirable. Knowledge of the OPERA Software program is desirable. Previous sales and marketing experience desirable.

PCS Costs
  • Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Allowances and Differentials
  • This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week - whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
