Duties

Help
  • Assists the facility manager in the management of the Golf Activity.
  • Recommends and carries out instructions and directives as necessary to operate a fluid, profit generating business activity with a fluctuating customer base.
  • Reviews programs to identify strengths and weaknesses.
  • Recommends or carries out corrective measures as appropriate. Evaluates success in terms of profitability, customer satisfaction and mission accomplishment.
  • Reviews financial reports, plans, costs, and budget and ensures the safeguarding of the facility and assets. Assists the manager in the marketing and promotion of the golf activity.
  • Provides golf instructions to individuals and groups and assists in the scheduling and conducting of golf related activities and tournaments.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

  • Work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed.
  • The ability to instruct the game of golf as evidenced through completion or pursuing of the Class A PGA Certification, the requirements of which are stated in The PGA Constitution and Bylaws.

Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
