About the Position: The Supervisory Sexual Assault Response Coordinator is a principal advisor for SHARP policies. They develop strategic plans for sexual harassment, assault prevention and response, assess program effectiveness, and prioritize care for victims of sexual harassment, assault, and associated retaliatory behaviors.

Duties

Help
  • Supervises Victim Advocates to ensure consistent delivery of victim-centered, trauma-informed advocacy services across the installation.
  • Manages coordination, documentation, and oversight of sexual harassment and sexual assault cases to ensure accurate reporting and timely resolution.
  • Ensures 24/7 availability of SHARP victim advocacy and response services for all covered persons.
  • Provides expert guidance to Victim Advocates on confidentiality, informed consent, and application of MRE 514 protections.
  • Ensures victims receive tailored referrals and emotional support during medical, legal, and administrative procedures.
  • Tracks, monitor, and oversees processing of complaints/ reports related to sexual harassment, sexual assault, and retaliation from initial report through final disposition.
  • Develops and maintains liaison relationships with law enforcement, legal, medical, other stakeholders, and command entities to coordinate victim response.
  • Serves as a member of the Sexual Assault Review Board (SARB) and advises commanders on case status and victim services.
  • Provides clear, trauma-informed briefings to commanders, SARB members, and other stakeholders on case progress and program issues.
  • Communicates performance expectations, feedback, and coaching to subordinate Victim Advocates to promote professional growth.
  • Represents the SHARP program in interagency meetings, community events, and public outreach initiatives.
  • Coordinates and implements SHARP outreach campaigns and awareness activities such as Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM).
  • Advises internal and external partners including MEO, EEO, CID, and legal professionals on case coordination and program compliance.
  • Plans, assigns, and reviews work of subordinate Victim Advocates based on workload priorities and case requirements.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance SHARP program efficiency, responsiveness, and service quality.
  • Upholds D-SAACP standards and ensures subordinate VAs maintain certification and ethical practice requirements.
  • Compiles, analyzes, and reports SHARP data in DSAID and ICRS to ensure accurate, timely, and policy-compliant reporting.
  • Reviews statistical trends and prepares reports to inform leadership on sexual assault and harassment incidents and response effectiveness.
  • Conducts research on best practices in victim advocacy, trauma-informed care, and prevention programming to update training materials.
  • Maintain the Defense Sexual Assault Incident Database (DSAID) and Integrated Case Reporting System (ICRS) to account for services requested by victims for all.

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
  • Background checks against all records required by law, Office of Personnel Management, Department of Defense (DoD), and Army policy or regulation will be conducted prior to entering on duty in the position.
  • Incumbents in these positions are required to self-report civilian arrests, the filing of criminal charges, and/or convictions of any criminal offense to their supervisors and security office.
  • Must attend and graduate from required SHARP training courses within 6 months of employment.
  • Must obtain and maintain an active DoD Sexual Assault Advocate Certification Program (D-SAACP) certification within 6 months of employment and up-to-date commander appointment orders prior to having any victim contact or access to victim information.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to operate a motor vehicle should the need arise to operate a government vehicle/motor pool vehicle.
  • The duties of this position may require the incumbent to carry a cell phone and be on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week on a rotational basis, based on the needs of the organization.
  • One year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • The Camp Casey location is an unaccompanied tour area, so family is not authorized to reside. The educational travel of child cannot be authorized due to an unaccompanied tour area.

Basic Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree (Or Higher): In behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. (You must submit a copy of your transcripts).


OR

Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. (You must submit a copy of your transcripts).


OR

Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.


AND

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal Service which includes 1) conducting trainings on any related sexual assault prevention and response; 2) ensuring victims are receiving direct and indirect services to receive guidance and emotional support during administrative, medical, investigative, and legal procedures; 3) supporting the management of any related Sexual Harassment/ Assault Response and Prevention Program.

OR

Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: behavioral or social sciences. (You must submit a copy of your transcripts).

OR

A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. (You must submit a copy of your transcripts).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

  • Direct deposit of pay is required.
  • U.S. citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement.
  • Locality pay does not apply in the overseas area.
  • If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
  • If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler, but for the child's age, is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, then the Military Department responsible for EIS will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.

Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only.
  • Pay retention may be offered to selected applicants for positions at overseas locations. Pay retention will not be offered as an incentive for employees moving between overseas positions.
  • Selectees may receive certain foreign area benefits such as: Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) or government quarters, home leave, etc. Selectees will have their eligibility for foreign area benefits determined at the time of hire in accordance with Department of State Standardized Regulation (DSSR) and DoDI 1400.25 volume 1250.
